CELINA is located about 33 miles northeast of DFW Airport and just 7.5 miles north of Frisco. It is a community of about 19,000 people that is positioned in the “golden corridor” of DFW, but still provides a strong rural or country feel. The spirit of Celina emphasizes family, faith, community, and school pride. One of it’s biggest asset is the Downtown Square which has attractive early 20th Century buildings that are being utilized as restaurants, shops, and office spaces. The City Government just approved in 2019 a Downtown master plan that will make the Downtown Square attractive to more independent, creative, and entrepreneurial businesses. The Downtown Square currently is and will remain a central gathering place for the community to gather, shop, eat, and enjoy themselves. CELINA has room to grow. There are numerous beautiful, brand new developments positioned all around this downtown center. Celina offers more affordable housing than the towns located to the south. Schools – CELINA schools are known for BOBCAT PRIDE and have a reputation built upon not only academic excellence, but a wealth of state championships spread across their extracurricular programs. CISD is “Home to the Bobcats,” which carries much tradition and pride throughout the community. The district has a long standing reputation of providing quality education that gives the students hope for tomorrow by helping them reach their potential through innovative programs and experiences. The Celina School District has an enrollment of over 2,500 students, with a district footprint that currently consists of 1 high school, 1 junior high school, 2 elementary schools, and 1 early childhood/primary school. These campus configurations will continue to evolve as more families choose the Celina School District for their children’s academic and extracurricular pursuits.
