Schools – Strong academics and outstanding opportunities for students continue to make Frisco ISD a destination school district for families moving to or relocating within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Many families choose to call Frisco ISD home due to the outstanding reputation for academic excellence, innovative programs and wealth of extracurricular opportunities and experiences.
At the heart of their success is a student-opportunities model that has guided the District through three decades of explosive enrollment growth as evidenced by their mission to know every student by name and need. This philosophy drives their day-to-day efforts to understand each child’s unique circumstances, his or her strengths and weaknesses, and the role they must play to ensure each student reaches his or her full potential.
It is also reflected in the deliberate manner in which they build and configure their schools. Elementary schools serve 700-plus students in grades K-5, middle schools serve 800-1,000 students in grades 6-8 and high schools serve up to 2,100 students in grades 9-12. (New high schools open with fewer grade levels and add one grade level a year until they serve grades 9-12.)
